“Wonderful week, exceeded our expectations. Fred and Martha had the best time holding day old chicks, feeding the pigs and putting the animals to bed. We loved the eggs, bacon, sausages and fresh bread. Thank you Les & Lesley!!”

“What a fantastic place! Easily the best self catering cottage we have stayed in – a real home from home. Ella’s words upon arrival “Can we stay here forever”- a sentiment that has certainly not wavered through the week. Feeding the animals was a real highlight! We will definitely be back when the warmer weather arrives. Thank you for all the lovely fresh bread, eggs and bacon.”

Wonderful cottage with everything we could have possibly needed for our twin girls. Fantastic hosts that showed the girls how to feed the chickens and collect eggs, as well as supply us with delicious eggs, bacon, sausages and homemade bread. Perfectly situated in rolling hills, near enough to many points of interest. We enjoyed trips out to Sidmouth, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Honiton and Beer.
Will be recommending to all our friends with children and hopefully returning with maybe the grandparents too.
Keep up the good work Les & Lesley, we especially enjoyed looking at your photos of renovation. See you soon.”

“This has been a wonderful place to stay for our week in Devon.
It’s comfortable, warm and so welcoming. Our 5 year old loved all the space and play area. We were here over Halloween and Lesley helped to arrange a bit of trick or treating among the cottages which was fun. The bread, jam, eggs, wine were such a nice welcome.
There’s really nothing lacking! I’m sorry we kept so busy with day trips in Devon that we couldn’t spend more time just sitting still and enjoying our surroundings.”

“Have had a wonderful week with our English rellies on this wonderful Farm stay – the cottages and facilities are top class! The welcome treats of fresh bread, eggs, wine and jam are a lovely touch and it’s nice to have all the mod cons! Les and Lesley make you feel so welcome and are so obliging! (our Harry just LOVES “the chicken house!”)
This is the perfect location for lots of day trips – we have been to Exmouth, Padstowe (for Cornish pasty’s – Yummy!!), Exeter, Torquay, Escott Park and Dartmoor. The English countryside is just GORGEOUS – everywhere you look wherever you go is just so picturesque and there is a quaint, cute little village and /or church every few miles! Hope to be back one day and will definitely recommend Stonehayes Cottages! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!”

“We had a fantastic time on our first holiday as a family of four! Thank you so much Les & Lesley you have thought of everything to make our stay with our babies as relaxing as possible. Our two year old loved the play area and the chickens of course. Owen really loved feeding the animals and collecting/breaking the eggs. Thank you also for our very tasty welcome pack.
Our favourite beach has to be Beer. Owen loves throwing pebbles in the sea so it was perfect. Beer village and beach is so pretty and although quite chilly, swimming in the clear water was heaven. You can buy fresh fish on sea front – fab fishing village with independent shops. If your children love trains would highly recommend Pecorama. We also liked the Donkey Sanctuary and Seaton Tramway (may find discount vouchers in plastic info box under table). Also liked Jacobs ladder beach in Sidmouth and Lyme Regis Cobb beach (good for toddlers as sandy). We liked Bartletts Farm Shop – especially the Scotch eggs and burgers.”
