We do! You can book a 2 or 3 night weekend, or a 4 night midweek break from Monday to Friday.

Yes, we do require a cautionary deposit. This will be requested by email about 3 weeks prior to your booking, or at the time of booking if the start of your holiday is less than 3 weeks away.

There is a train station at Honiton, one of many stops on the London to Penzance line, and you can book a taxi to take you to Stonehayes Farm from there (see below). You’ll have detailed directions once you’ve made your booking.

Will there be a key left or will the owner/manager meet us?

You will be able to see all your check in details by logging into the My Booking section of our website (you use your email address and booking reference number to do this) about 4 weeks before your holiday. Our site manager will come out to welcome you to Stonehayes Farm and to show you where things are. Each cottage has its own keysafe for you to use during your stay.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes, we allow 2 well behaved dogs at each property, charged at an extra £50 per pet. It is very important that you read our dog rules before arranging to bring your dog(s).

Do you allow single sex groups?

Our cottages are certainly not party houses so we ask that all single sex groups contact us before booking. We do not mind smaller groups and refined hen parties, but it is important that noise is kept to a minimum.

Can I have groceries delivered to Stonehayes Farm?

Yes you can.  Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsburys and COOK will deliver to Stonehayes Farm. We ask that you are there to receive your delivery and that you give the supermarket your mobile number when you place your order.

Can we have friends over to see us when we are staying at Stonehayes Farm?

If you want to have people to visit during your stay at Stonehayes Farm it’s important that you let us know beforehand, even if they’re just coming to see you for a couple of hours. We have to adhere to health & safety regulations and we have insurance restrictions – therefore the maximum occupancy for each cottage must not be exceeded without permission.

What facilities are there at Stonehayes Farm?

The facilities at Stonehayes Farm are all set out on the About Us and the Property pages of our website. There is ample parking and each cottage has its own area of garden with a barbecue (kindling supplied but you will have to bring your own charcoal) and outdoor furniture. All cottages also have use of the freezer room, shared games room and large grounds where there is a play area for children.
Pippinsands has a hot tub which is solely for guests staying at that property.

What is supplied at the property for us?

For each property you’ll find enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for your whole party. Also supplied are all duvets, bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and bath mats, 2 x toilet rolls per toilet, tea towels, sponge scourer, hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, salt and pepper, and a welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, and milk.
If you require baby equipment please let us know. We supply cots, stairgates and highchairs for each property.

Is there wifi at Stonehayes Farm?

There is wifi to all properties, and it is the best it can be, but note that Stonehayes Farm is in a very rural location and wifi speeds can therefore be slower than you might be used to. We advise downloading any films, games, etc before your stay to avoid disappointment.

How should we leave the house?

We expect the property to be left in the same clean and tidy condition that you found it in.

  • Please ensure that all surfaces are clean and that no dirty dishes are left – it is fine to leave the dishwasher on with your last load in it.
  • We don’t expect you to strip the beds, and towels can be left in the bathrooms.
  • We positively encourage as much recycling as possible and ask that you put your rubbish out before you go. Our manager will explain all this when he meets and greets you at the start of your stay.
  • Please let us know in the first instance if anything is missing from the property, broken or not working as it should be.

Are there good places to eat nearby?

You’ll find several places where you can stop for a bite to eat on your way to Stonehayes Farm, although this may require a short diversion off the main road. We recommend stopping off in Honiton, the nearest town, so that you can stock up on things you need, have a browse around, and something to eat; there are several cafes and pubs in the town – see our Things To Do Page for ideas.

Are there shops or a supermarket nearby?

Yes, Honiton has several supermarkets – Tesco, Iceland, Co-op, Lidl and Aldi. There are also bakers, butchers and a very good fishmonger in the town.

How do we book the Extras shown on your website?

We are pleased that you are thinking of using our recommended suppliers – thank you! You’ll need to contact them to make the necessary arrangements, and once you’ve done that just let us know who you’ve booked, when they’re coming, and how many of them there will be – we just need this information for insurance purposes.

We wish you a very enjoyable stay at Stonehayes Farm – happy holidays!
