Walking Holidays in The Blackdown Hills

We can suggest routes that will include a suitable hostelry or tearoom along the way. The South West Coastal Footpath offers some splendid cliff top walks from Lyme Regis in Dorset all the way to Exmouth – simply stunning at any time of year.

In spring and early summer the woods and hedgerows of East Devon are bursting with wild flowers, including primroses, wild daffodils, bluebells, cow parsley and fox gloves to name but a few.

There’s nothing more beautiful than to wander through a fresh-leaved beech wood amidst drifts of bluebells on a spring evening in late April and early May. Alternatively, spend a few days with us in the autumn and enjoy some bracing walks along the beaches and promenades of nearby seaside towns such as Sidmouth, Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton. At Branscombe, when the surf is up, you’ll be deafened by the roar of waves crashing down upon thousands of pebbles.
