Bella Pizza, Honiton, Devon
Bella Pizza is a friendly little restaurant, right on the high street in Honiton; it's more than obvious what they do here - yup, freshly made pizzas with authentic Italian homemade dough and toppings consisting of the best local ingredients they can get their hands on. It's one of those places that kinda suits everyone - couples, families, friends, so take the kids along and fill their bellies.
The food is good, with plenty of choice; for starters you can have things like Barbecue chicken wings, Nachos or Creamy peppered mushroom, then it's on to the mains - pizza, pizza, pizza, including Mexicana (peppers, sweetcorn, onions and chilli), Pescatora (mussels, prawns, squid and tuna), and Americana (chicken, pepperoni, peppers and jalapenos).
If you don’t fancy a pizza, have chicken pasta bake, bolognese, a gourmet burger, chicken and chips, hot wings, or a wrap. Take your pick of side dishes from garlic bread, curly fries with cheese and coleslaw to Halloumi sticks, chicken nuggets and Peri Peri wings. Round it off with a scrumptious pud (warm chocolate brownie, carrot cake, Ben and Jerry ice cream) and wash it all down with milkshake, smoothie or fruit juice.
Inside is all light and airy, modern and relaxed, but it’s not a huge place, so if there’s a big group of you or you're pushed for time you can order online and have your food delivered to your holiday cottage at Stonehayes Farm.
