You can avoid that by pre-ordering and once you’ve collected you can sit outside or in and get stuck in, feeling very much a part of the light hearted ambience, happy locals and happy holiday makers.
The thing is people forget that eateries like this do local and that’s something this place (mind the pun) is big on. Fish is caught sustainably in the waters of the Jurassic Coast, chips are freshly cut each day by a local potato farmer, pies, pasties and gourmet burgers are all sourced round and about. The pizzas are freshly prepared and if you want to wash your dinner down with something stronger than water, they serve alcohol, so fish and chips on the beach with a bottle of Prosecco is on.
Best sellers are skinless and boneless cod, calamari, whitebait, cheesy chips and on the sweet side, Churros Spanish donuts with warm caramel or chocolate dip. Opening hours vary throughout the year so check the website before you go, or rock up if you're in Charmouth, in the hope they’re open.
