The feels are totally relaxed and fab at Crab Shed Salcombe, right at the water’s edge with views over the harbour and the green hills, just what summer holidays in Devon are made of. Crabs come in fresh as a daisy on the local fishing boats and are hand picked for quality so go for lunch or dinner and you’ll be telling everyone about it for ages (“Oh, what about the Crab Shed in Salcombe! Wasn’t it amazing!”)…
Crab is a major feature on the menu obviously, with dishes like Crab Shed Bisque and Potted Crab on the starters and on the mains, Crab Shed Bouillabaisse, Crab Linguine and Whole Salcombe Cracked Crab. Plenty to get your claws into (‘scuse the pun) but if you don’t fancy crab there are other options like Fish & Chips, Spiced Sweet Potato and Chick Pea Stew and Tomato & Basil Linguine. Wash it down with a nice bottle of white or a pint of Salcombe Pale Ale. What’s hard to beat is sitting out on the terrace on a warm summers’ day, delicious food, ice cold drink, calm waters, wall to wall sunshine and in the evening, a glorious sunset.
