If you decide to go down to the canal basin at Tiverton for a ride on a horse drawn barge allow time for a bite to eat at Ducks Ditty Bar & Beer Garden because it’s a lovely way to round off your day out, especially if you’re blessed with good weather. Ducks Ditty is a permanently moored barge, afloat on the Grand Western Canal with a beer garden on the bankside. The bar is fully licenced and they do excellent artisan coffee and loose leaf teas to have with scrumptious home made cake; otherwise you can tuck into a Chunk of Devon pasty – Pork and Scrumpy, Steak, Cheddar & Onion, Roasted Vegetable or Spicy Moroccan Lamb. Big on flavour and plenty to fill you up. Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. What more could you want?
