Exeter Underground Passages, Exeter, Devon

Exeter Underground Passages were built in medieval times to bring clean drinking water in from springs outside the city walls; it's quite an amazing thing to see and as these are the only such passages in the country that are open to the public, you ought to make the most of the opportunity to see them whilst you're here. It's fascinating to think of all the hustle and bustle of Exeter going on up above you in the shops and the streets, but a word of warning - if you don't like confined spaces this may not be for you as the passages are narrow in places and head height restricted. And another thing, it can be a bit chilly, so take a jumper or jacket.

Book in advance and bear in mind that everyone in your party must be over 5 years of age.
