Hollies Trout Farm is nestled in a secluded valley in the Blackdown Hills not far from Honiton. The two lakes and a pool amount to over two and a half acres of water for the avid anglers among us – what’s good is that there’s something to suit different skill levels. They offer fly fishing instructed and accompanied fishing as well as taster tuition sessions, so you can go and try your hand if it’s all new to you, or brush up on your skills if you feel you might be a bit out of practice.
The lakes are well monitored and stocked with catch ranging from under 2lb up to double figures. They open from dawn to dusk so you can fish for a few hours or to your heart’s content; if you forget anything, don’t worry because there’s a tackle shop on site, and what’s got to be worth a try are the gourmet fish products made with fresh and smoked fish from these very lakes. The Hollies has a large car park with easy access to lakes and loos.
