The Anchor Inn, Beer, Devon

Lots of people go to the Anchor Inn in Beer in the summer when the village gets busier with folk coming for a day on the beach, but it’s a big enough place and it stays open all day so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a table when you’re in need of sustenance. Out on the clifftop they have a beer garden with as you can imagine, wonderful sea views and that’s definitely the best place to sit on a warm evening to watch the sunset.

Service starts with brunch at The Anchor Inn, so if you’re not an early riser pop in for a bacon sarnie. On the main menu there are sharers like Nachos and Baked Camembert as well as Burgers and pub classics like Hand battered Atlantic cod & chips, Mac ‘n' cheese and an 8oz Gammon steak. You’ll also find signature dishes of the likes of Hunter’s chicken, Sea bass & scallop risotto and Slow cooked lamb shoulder, plus a tempting choice of pies and steaks. Plenty of options and something for the vegans and lighter eaters too.

Open 7.00am-11.00pm every day in the summer (may change in the winter)
