The Bear Trail, Cullompton, Devon

Like a bit of muddy fun in the great outdoors? You need to check out The Bear Trail near Cullompton and pop it on your list of things to do when you’re on holiday in Devon. This assault course is set across a 10-acre private site and has no less than 30 obstacles for you to tackle, and the good news is you can take it on as many times as you like while you’re there. Seriously. Zoom along the zip wire, scramble across the bear nets, tumble through the tunnels, have a barrel of fun and when you’re done you can shower off the mud, get changed into something more comfortable and head to the Bear Cave Café for a wood fired pizza. Otherwise, pack a picnic, lounge about chomping on sausage rolls and egg sarnies.

Younger folk under a metre in height can spend time in Cubs Corner or they can wander alongside the course chortling at their parents and siblings getting covered in mud. Lucky for you if you catch one of the special events held throughout the year - The Colour Bomb, Water Wipeout and The Zombie Trail; if you’re staying at one of our Devon holiday cottages for a birthday or corporate team building event, The Bear Trail takes some beating when it comes to activities to amuse and challenge. Enormous fun.
