Take a trip to Wildwood Devon and enjoy an amazing family day out in the beautiful Devon countryside. This place is brilliant! There are animals to spot, a corker of an outdoor adventure playground, an indoor play barn for the little ones, a fantastic Beech Hegde Maze, and for the more adventurous among you, a Traversing Wall, a Tree Top Drop Slide and a 40m zip line. There’s also a Saxon Village here – now that’s something you don’t see very often so go and take a big step back in time and see the crafts people at work dressed just like they did in those days, and if you fancy having a bash at making a piece of Saxon jewellery or striking a Saxon penny, here’s your chance.
Take your time to stroll through the beautiful woodlands, looking out for the animals as you pass through the enclosures. There are wolves, lynx, Arctic foxes, wildcat, and wild boar here and you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of an elusive otter or red squirrel. See the Indian Blue Peacocks strutting around, and say hello to the shaggy coated Soay Sheep with their big curly horns. Round off your visit with a jolly good picnic or go to the Coach House cafe for tea and cake.
