Wiscombe Park Hillclimb near Honiton in Devon is renowned for both national and club motorsport, and is perhaps one of the most challenging motor racing courses in the country. Hillclimbs have been held here for over 60 years and long may it continue, with events throughout the year. Any car enthusiast can well imagine what a glorious sight it is to see single seater cars, racing cars, historic vehicles, even two and three wheeled motorcycles tearing up the twisty hill set amidst the picturesque Wiscombe estate. One event that particularly draws the crowds is when the Vintage Sports Car Club comes to Wiscombe Park Hillclimb to navigate the S bends and hairpins at considerable speed. The atmosphere is superb, with catering and a bar, and some folk turning up in their vintage attire. It’s a wonderful reprieve from the madness of the modern world.
