Bumble and Bee, Exmouth, Devon
You’ll find Bumble and Bee tucked away on the edge of Manor Gardens not far from Exmouth seafront. They’re open 7 days a week from 9-5 April to September, and from 9-4 October to March. Have a wander round the gardens and then go for lunch, or tea and cake, or mix it up and rock up early for breakfast. Either way you’re assured of good food, a lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly smiley service.
For breakfast they serve Stacks, which is their version of cooked English, baps, bubble & squeak, pancakes and French toast; at lunchtime there’s a choice of chunky sarnies or daily specials, and after that there’s a fantastic selection of cakes and cream teas. Remember, this is an award-winning tea room, so you know the food is going to be good – and there are plenty of reviews online to back that up.
The family who run Bumble and Bee like to use organic, locally sourced seasonal produce as much as they possibly can, all put to good use in recipes that are often passed down from their mothers and grandmothers, and it’s all handmade in the kitchen. Keeping it real, keeping things just the way they should be.
