Ladram Bay, Budleigh Salterton, Devon

Ladram Bay is a unique and sheltered spot on the Jurassic Coast within East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s good for swimming, rockpooling and watersports, or for just soaking up the rays from the sand and pebble beach in the height of summer. The beach is backed by towering cliffs of red sandstone typical of this part of the coastline; the stacks just off the shore give the bay its very unique character.

The beach is actually part of the holiday park that’s up behind it, so it gets rather busy at certain times of the year with people enjoying the quiet seaside vibe and hiring kayaks and paddleboards from the beach shack. What you need to know is that there’s no parking for day visitors at Ladram Bay; as it’s on the South West Coast Path you can walk here over the cliffs from Otterton Mill, which is less than a mile away.
