How nice is this? Four friends with a passion for brewing unique and very quaffable craft beer getting together and opening their own microbrewery and tap room at Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast. Perfect, isn’t it?
Lyme Regis Brewery is tucked away off the main street at Town Mill, and it’s well worth finding because the vibe at Town Mill is great and it’s a good place to hang out; restored mill buildings stand around a cobble courtyard, the sun shines down (fingers crossed) and everyone’s happy.
The beer they make at Lyme Regis Brewery is made from locally sourced ingredients and brewed to original recipes. They have quite a range too, with a beer for all tastes, from Town Mill Best Bitter and Lyme Gold Golden Ale to Black Ven London Porter and Golden Cap Craft Lager. For something different try the Rebellion, a honey-spiced rum stout or the Longshore Session Lager. Take a Brewery Tour with tastings in the Tap Room, go along and spend the day helping with the brewing, or just rock up at the Tap Room and enjoy a relaxing pint. The feels are laid back and mellow, even more so in the summer when they have live music in the courtyard. They do soft drinks and snacks so no reason why the whole fam can’t go.
