If you decide to go up to Dunkeswell Airfield when you’re on your cottage holiday in Devon, allow enough time to call into the Aviator Coffee Bar & Restaurant for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is very friendly and jolly and the food is tasty – unpretentious, good honest cooking. If you can, grab a seat by the window so you can watch the planes come and go and the parachutists landing whilst you tuck into your full English breakfast, or if it’s lunchtime perhaps a toastie or Ham, egg and chips, Bangers & mash, Macaroni cheese or a chilli.
Sundays is carvery day; four meats, plenty of veg, all the trimmings and we can tell you, it’s good.
