The Byes, Sidmouth, Devon

The Byes at Sidmouth is one of the town’s best green spaces made up of meadows and fields that surround the River Sid. Part of it is a nature reserve, formed for wildlife conservation and for the public to enjoy forever. It’s a lovely place for a walk, with several paths and a Community Orchard; take a stroll or a cycle ride along the river, look out for dippers bobbing in the waters and the dart of a kingfisher. The walk from the Toll House at Sidmouth to the little village of Sidford will take about 35 minutes and has several places where it’s nice to pause and take in the views over the town and the East Devon coast.
