The Culm Valley Inn, Culmstock, Cullompton, Devon

You’ll find The Culm Valley Inn down by the bridge in Culmstock, a small village tucked away in the Blackdown Hills in Devon. And what a lovely find it is, a very welcoming country pub that serves excellent food made using fresh seasonal ingredients that are grown or raised in the fields nearby.

If you like pub food you’re in for a treat whatever you choose; Beer battered fish & chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce, Homemade Culm Valley burger with chilli jam, crispy onions, smoked cheese and chips, Sirloin steak with homemade garlic fries, rocket and parmesan… if you want something more fancy, try the Venison with fondant potatoes, kale, parsnips, butternut puree, pickled blackberries, and red wine sauce. Top notch and especially rewarding after you’ve walked up the hill to Culm Beacon and back.
