Tasty home cooked food and a good pint are par for the course at The Queens Arms in Slapton. This is a pub that has good honest, down-to-earth values, where the staff are friendly and the welcome is warm.
On the menu are pub favourites like Gourmet beefburger, Chicken and ham pie, Grilled gammon steak, and Fish and chips. They also do curries, including the very hot Devonshire Devil and they have options for vegetarians and vegans. At lunchtime you can have a sandwich, a baked potato or one of the light bites like Ham and cheese Ploughman’s or a Cornish pasty
Inside is old school pub style – horse brasses hung on the fireplace, tankards on the beams, it’s what you call traditional. When it’s cold and the fire’s lit it’s a great place to be after a stroll along the beach or on the clifftops. Outside there’s a pretty part-walled garden where you can sit when the sun is out to play and enjoy the views over the village.
