The Tramstop Café, Colyton, Devon
Ride on an open top heritage tram from Seaton through the wetlands of the Axe estuary to Colyton and alight for refreshments at The Tramstop Café. It’s a lovely thing to do when you’re spending a day on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, like a generous slice of how things used to be round here – the station dates from 1868 and still retains plenty of good old fashioned character along with a laid back air. They serve hot and cold food throughout the operating season, but surely one of the best things is to tuck into a proper job Devon cream tea – big fat scones with lashings of jam and cream all washed down with a pot of tea.
