There are lush river valleys and remote landscapes that bring you close to nature, there are castles, centuries old thatched cottages and historic houses to visit. Browse the market towns with their mostly independent shops or for something more exciting spend a day in one of Devon’s two cities; you’ll find heaps to do in Plymouth or Exeter.
