Like Japanese food? Then you’ll love Kinori! Enjoy Japanese food at your holiday cottage at Stonehayes Farm - your tastebuds will be dancing with delight. The man behind Kinori is Japanese born and bred Hideki Koike who came to England when he was just 21, bringing his love and knowledge of Japanese street food and amassing loads of experience at AA rosette restaurants, pubs and hotels. He worked as head chef at the acclaimed Lord Poulett Arms at Hinton St George for a while and now travels all over the South West putting a smile on the faces of many with his exquisite Japanese food and his huge personality. Creating seriously tasty Japanese food in Somerset is not a problem for Hideki – he uses the freshest seasonal ingredients he can get his hands on and gives them his own creative twist; the result is simple, honest, jolly good cuisine that will delight your senses.

Boo To A Goose is run by Harrie who honed her culinary skills at le Cordon Bleu in London. She’ll come to your holiday cottage at Stonehayes Farm and cater for you, be it an evening of fine dining, cocktails and canapes, or a celebratory buffet style affair. Ah, and celebrations, that’s the other thing; if you’re here to raise a glass to a big birthday or anniversary, you need to know that Harrie does the most amazing cakes. Wedding cakes are her speciality but have a chat with her and the result will probably be the most gorgeous cake you’ve ever had, scoring high on both looks and taste.
Harrie works with you to create a bespoke menu for whatever you want – even if it’s a themed Mexican Fiesta or Greek night. She’s happy to cater for all diets and fads, and it goes without saying that ingredients are by and large sourced locally, grown and raised in the fields of Devon.

Old Trickey’s Flower Farm
Seasonal, scented and sustainable are the buzzwords at Old Trickey’s Flower Farm. Deep in the Backdown Hills of Devon they grow the most beautiful blooms that they lovingly arrange as jam jar posies, hand tied bunches and bouquets which are sold from the farm gate or delivered locally. And it’s all done so ethically, no pesticides, wildlife is encouraged in the flower fields, nature is allowed to rule, so on a summer’s day there are bees and butterflies galore in in the air at Old Trickey’s.
Every arrangement or posy is utterly unique because they use what they have growing at the time; wispy grasses, dried seeds pods and sometimes wild foliage are all put to good use adding texture, colour and character to the flowers.
Flowers are a joy and there’s nothing like a simple posy here and there to bring an extra helping of utter loveliness to your holiday cottage.
