Exeter Cruises, Exeter, Devon

If you got to Exeter when you’re on holiday in Devon, head down to the Quay and climb on board for a leisurely boat trip with Exeter Cruises. Sit back as you glide along the historic ship canal passing through two swing bridges to Double Locks where there’s a very good waterside pub. Alight for lunch and return on a later boat, or stay on board and the trip will take just under an hour. Dogs, pushchairs and bikes aren’t a problem, so the whole family can enjoy this.

They also do 4 seater pedalo hire which gives you the opportunity to get out on the River Exe under your own steam. What’s not to like? A trip along the serene waters either way and a great way to see this part of Exeter from a different perspective. There are plenty of places for food and drink along the Quay for when you get back – On the Waterfront and The Prospect Inn are both popular.

Open: Easter weekend to the end of August, weekends and Bank Holidays April, May, June and September.   Daily from July 15th
