Farway, Honiton, Devon

You might stumble across Farway if you’re out pootling about the lanes exploring the beautiful countryside near Honiton when you’re on your family holiday in Devon. There’s no pub or shop, just a scattering of thatched cottages and houses where people live a contented quiet life, a school, an attractive 14th century church, and a pretty Methodist church, but it’s a nice place to park up and go for a stroll around the hills.

In fact, Farway is on the 40 mile East Devon Way walking route and has some spectacular views over the Coly valley; about a mile away is Devenish Pitt Farm & Stables where you can book for treks on horseback – a wonderful way to discover the glorious scenery of this little corner of Devon. Afterwards, drive down the road to Honiton for a bite to eat at The Yellow Deli or Bella Pizza.
