Groups of Cottages To Rent In The UK

There are lots of groups of cottages to rent in the UK but finding something that has everything you need isn’t as easy as it seems. We believe we have the answer here at Stonehayes Farm; tucked away in our own little world in a quiet corner of Devon we have 5 gorgeously homely holiday cottages sleeping 4-14. Book them all to sleep 34 or have as many as you need.

There are many good reasons why people look for groups of cottages to rent in the UK; celebrations are top of the list and we get that. If a big party isn’t quite your scene and you’d rather celebrate that significant birthday with the select few, finding the right venue can be tricksy. You don’t want to hold your birthday celebrations at home (we all know what a nuisance those red wine stains can be…) and there’s not enough of you to fill a big hall. There’s always a skittle alley in a pub or something, but well, you know, it doesn’t quite cut the mustard, does it? But getting away somewhere for a few days where you can do things just how you want – that’s more like it.

Sometimes people want a group of cottages to rent in the UK for a big family holiday or for a reunion of friends. Maybe you haven’t seen each other since your days at uni and you all live miles apart now – well, it’s time for a get together then, time to catch up, show off your growing families and that. And we know we’re not all lucky enough to have big families that get on well together but if you do, the idea of escaping to the country for a holiday together certainly has its appeal; what’s great is that you don’t all have to stay in the same house getting in each other’s pockets. You can so all have your own space; perfect!

Another reason people look for groups of cottages to rent in the UK is for self catering corporate away days. Sometimes it’s for team building breaks, sometimes for rewards for hardworking staff, or for hospitality; taking a few of your key clients away for a break and impressing them can be a great way to seal a deal, but it’s also a good way of saying thank you for their custom and support. We’re good for all of those things. We even have a list of suppliers we work with who can add any finishing touches to your stay – professional caterers, florists, cocktail waiters, entertainment and so on.

So, our cottages. Well, we’ve got 4 that sleep 4-6 people and we’ve got the main farmhouse, with a hot tub in the garden, to sleep 14. Put them all together and that’s snooze space for 34. You get a big shared games room and 15 acres of private grounds with a play area for the tinies. What makes it so good here at Stonehayes Farm is that it’s so private – like we said, a world of our own, there are walks down across the meadow to the River Luv (how sweet), an Iron Age fort up behind us, and staggering views that stretch for miles across the landscape. Yet we’re within easy reach of the A303, the A30 and the M5 motorway, so it’s no problem getting here, and you’ll find plenty to see and do in these parts if you want to go out exploring; there are family attractions, beaches, walks of course, and some fantastic places to eat.

Sometimes though, you don’t really need a reason to get together with your favourite people. Sometimes it’s just one of those things that has to be done. Like now, it’s been the worst year a lot of us can ever remember; we haven’t been able to see one another and we miss that, so why not be positive and look ahead? Organise a reunion for 2021 or even 2022, get everyone together again, bring the smiles back to faces! Look forward to when you can hug again, when you can sing and dance, when happy days are here again.

Have a think about it. A big birthday, a milestone anniversary, a long overdue catch up; a team building break, corporate hospitality, a big family holiday. Make it something to remember – oh, and don’t forget, we’re dog friendly, so we do mean the whole family! Check availability and book your stay today!
