Our dog friendly cottages for summer 2023 sleep 4-11 people and are set in 15 acres of lush private grounds; stride out across the fields, the glorious landscape of the Otter Valley rolling on before you. Wander down to the little River Luv, have a happy paddle, sit on the bank and watch dragonflies dance. In the evening, the most simple pleasure is to stroll up to Dumpdon Hill, amble through the bluebell woods and watch the sunset. This is what life is all about, notching down the pace a gear or two, enjoying quiet times and magical moments, making memories.
If there’s a bigger group of you, we have just one mid-week stay at Whinchat Barns available in August; these two adjacent barns sleep 11 and you’ll have the luxury of a private hot tub at Dippers Rest. That’s the beauty of Stonehayes Farm – you can book as many of our 5 holiday cottages as you wish, subject to availability. Maybe you’re thinking a week or a few days away with friends and their children would be nice – we can do that; for example, one family in Pipits Retreat, one in Wagtail Corner (both sleep 5); it’s up to you!
Siskins Nook (sleeps 4) has a hot tub too – what a treat! Sit back on balmy days and watch the cotton wool clouds drift by; in the evening you can relax and watch the stars come out, or soak beneath the light of a big fat summer moon.
Each of our cottages have their own gardens with outdoor furniture and a barbecue, so you can while all the time you like outside; steaks sizzling, vegetables grilling, the chink of glasses as you raise a toast to YOU. And the best thing of all is that your precious pet gets to join in too; no leaving him behind in kennels, no sad goodbyes as you glance back over your shoulder. He’ll be happy as a lark here at Stonehayes Farm, with walks on the doorstep, the beaches on the Jurassic Coast just half an hour away, and the whole of the Blackdown Hills to explore.
