Tucked away in the Devon hills, it’s like a world of your own, with nothing but seclusion and nature all around. It’s a far cry from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Our holiday cottages for celebrations are great for all ages, so multi-generational gatherings work well here. And because you can rent as many of the five cottages as you like, it’s easy for your guests to have their own space – the older folk can have a cottage to themselves, so can families, and younger couples can share. We’re well geared up for babies and toddlers, with stairgates and cots available, and the other good news is that each of our Devon holiday cottages is dog friendly! Yay! The pet pooch comes too!
If you want to keep it really quiet and just celebrate with your very closest darlings, our smaller cottages will suit you. Siskins Nook sleeps 4, Wagtail Corner and Pipits Retreat sleep 5 and Dippers Rest sleeps 6. If there’s a few more of you, Whinchat Barns will give you snooze space for 11 and Pippinsands, the original thatched farmhouse, sleeps 14. Siskins Nook, Dippers Rest and Pippinsands have private hot tubs, all cottages have their own gardens and whichever one you stay in, at your disposal are a games room with table tennis, a pool table and table football, and 15 acres of glorious grounds with a play area and BBQ area.
We’re biased of course, but we think Stonehayes Farm is a wonderful place to bring your nearest and dearest to celebrate a significant birthday, an anniversary, an engagement, a graduation, a new baby… the list goes on, there’s so much in life to celebrate – we’ve even had wedding parties here! We’ve got such a wonderful backdrop for photographs here, with spectacular views across the Otter valley and open fields that roll gently down to the River Luv. We also keep a list of trusted suppliers who can help to make your celebration with family and friends so absolutely perfect. We have florists who can make it look so pretty with gorgeous country bouquets and posies, you can hire cocktail waiters, a conjurer, have a casino night, or try your hand at country pursuits like clay pigeon shooting and archery.
And of course, there are caterers we can highly recommend; they’ll come in and create a fantastic feast for you, whether you want champagne and canapes, a cream tea, a barbecue or a five course dinner. Can you imagine what an amazing celebration it will be? You can almost hear the corks popping, can’t you!
