Pippinsands was the farmhouse here, back in the day; it’s a gorgeous thatched Devon longhouse, a large country cottage, with stacks of rustic character and wonderful views over the private garden and across the Otter Valley. It sleeps 14 in 6 bedrooms and has its own hot tub where you can soak beneath the stars or relax and watch cotton wool clouds drift by. One of the bedrooms is a suite of two interconnecting rooms, so it’s ideal for a young family; downstairs there’s an annexe that’s very much part of the house but at the same time, gives a couple their own space – brilliant for elderly grandparents. You can all get together in the onsite games room, go for riverside picnics and stroll through the fields in the 15 acre private grounds here at Stonehayes Farm.
In May 2024 we can welcome guests to Julesbrook; lovingly converted barns have been turned into a stunning large group holiday house that sleeps 16 in 7 bedrooms and has a games room, movie room, and a large garden with a private hot tub and those glorious country views. 2 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, which is handy for those who are less mobile, and 2 of the first floor bedrooms have an extra single bed so they work well for families. Like Pippinsands, there’s plenty of room to gather together and sing Happy Birthday, and there’s a long dining table to seat you all for a fabulous celebration feast. If there’s a few more of you, book Siskins Nook, our dear little cottage, tucked away in the corner of the old farmyard. Ooh, it’s lovely, so cosy, with a fresh country-modern feel. It sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and can accommodate a cot, so it’s great for a family or two couples. And like the other holiday cottages at Stonehayes Farm, it has its own hot tub. All cottages have use of the games room and access to the large private grounds, all are pet friendly so the family pooch won’t be left out of the fun.
