Well, here we are folks, nearly October – OCTOBER?? How did that happen?? Well yes, time seems to whizz by these days and here we are, well into autumn now so with the first school break just around the corner now’s the time to grab a half term holiday in Devon. We’re quite new to this game but we’ve noticed that there’s a big demand for houses to rent for family celebrations. It seems that a lot of people choose to step away from hiring a hall for a big old bash with singing and dancing all night, and instead they’re looking to find a big holiday house in the country where they can get away for a few days with close family to celebrate that milestone birthday or anniversary.

Well, here we are enjoying a beautiful English springtime at Stonehayes Farm, even if it has been a little chilly at times. Everything is looking so lush and gorgeous now, the hawthorn blossom is out, filling the air with its heady fragrance, the hedgerows are full of cow parsley, campions and snapdragons, and up at Dumpdon Hill there are striking drifts of bluebells.
