9/10  Really enjoyed the whole stay. Everything was brilliant from the day we turned up and felt so welcome such beautiful facilities and grounds and so peaceful.  Edwards  April 2024

10/10  There are many entertainment options within the facility like the hot tub, outdoor play area and the games room. We feel that our stay of 3 days and 2 nights simply went very quickly. I think if you can keep up the good work, everyone will have the same feeling as I do. Definitely reccommend it! Down to the field and river nearby, good exercise as well as entertaining for our young kids.  Santoso  April 2024

10/10  Phillipa Sam and Roger are great hosts and run a fantastic set of holiday homes. Set in beautiful countryside the cottages have been converted to a very high standard. If there was ever something that needed sorting it was never too much trouble and was dealt with quickly and professionally. We’ve been twice already and will definitely go again. Woolacombe beach - absolutely brilliant beach for family fun. Sidmouth and Lyme Regis both lovely places for day trips.  Marsh  Aug 2023

Our children loved the swings, trampoline and games room. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay.   Deary   Aug 2023

10/10  Loved how clean and well equipped the cottage and hot tub were. We didn't bring any handsoap with us and so the only slight improvement would be if a small bar could be provided. Everything else was wonderful. An especially friendly welcome was nice. The early check-in and late check out made the weekend so much more relaxed. Thank you for a great time.  Jackson  June 2023

10/10  We really like how clean and fresh the accommodation is. We always feel at home straight away staying at the farm. We love the large field for the dog, the football pitch and games room for the kids, and the quietness of the location. We’ve returned a few times as it’s a place we can rest. 9/10  As always Stonehayes has been a great place to stay with the family. Friendly and accommodating and never have any real issues. Look forward to staying again. Darts Farm on the way to Topsham was a good day out. Great pizzas, play ground and animals and a maze.   Shufflebotham     Aug 2022

9/10  We enjoyed the comfort of the cottage, hot tub, play areas (room and outside) and of course the beautiful scenery. We also loved Phillipa’s warm welcome which really set us up for a great stay. Thanks for a lovely stay - we all want to come back and it was so nice to stay again. We did a range of days out from shorter trips (Lyme Regis for the beach and lovely crab sandwiches; Darts Farm and their Maize Maze - A La Ronde - Exmouth - Budleigh Salterton beach; The Donkey Sanctuary and Sidmouth beach) for rainy days longer trips (Torquay Riviera swimming pool and Exeter RAM museum on the way back). We also visited Weymouth for the Sealife centre and would recommend this combined with the beach near the centre (this end of Weymouth is much quieter).   Scott  Aug 2022

1. Tarr Steps

10/10  Stonehayes Farm is just a wonderful place to stay. The area and location is stunning with so much around to explore. We were a large group and stayed in Pippinsands and Siskins Nook. The properties were super clean, well stocked and so comfortable. Pippinsands is a stunning old thatched farmhouse property that has been sympathetically renovated to allow for modern day living without loosing any of its oldy worldy charm, all the fittings and furnishings are excellent, the hot tub is a wonderful addition. Phillipa is an amazing host, very welcoming, very friendly and makes you feel at home straight away - thank you sooo much, we had a wonderful week and 100% recommend you and your properties. luv Kim & Family. :)
The Donkey Sanctuary is a must, the facilities for the donkeys and guests are absolutely first class, we all - adults, children and dogs had a great time. The kids (and adults) had a wonderful morning of fun and mud on the assault courses at The Bear Trail great fun for all. We highly recommend the Segway Forest Tour at Haldon Forest and the kids had a great time on the bike trails there too. We enjoyed Wookey Hole it is always good for a family trip out and then lunch in Wells (where Hot Fuzz was filmed) - fantastic. Killerton is a beautiful National Trust property, the house, gardens & parkland are well worth a visit. A drive through Dartmoor is also a must - beautiful stunning scenery, Dartmoor ponies, sheep and cows around every corner, it's like a drive through safari. There are also some lovely little villages on route - highly recommend. And of course the beaches, we went to Beer and Lyme Regis, again everyone thoroughly enjoyed - sandcastles, a dip and mess around in the sea, ice cream and a walk through the caves - just a beautiful part of the country.  King July 2021

8/10  The house was fantastically well equipped.   Bronstein July 2021

10/10  We stayed as part of a wedding party so utilised all of the cottages and facilities. We ranged on ages from 1 to 75 and everyone had the most amazing time. The cottages were spotless and they had everything we needed. The play area, trampoline and hot tub were enjoyed by everyone and the grounds were perfect for games. We would highly recommend the cottages and would consider staying again as a large party. The location was great and the accomodation was spotless  Stanger  June 2021

9/10  Thank you so much for the stay! It was really lovely. You had made the cottage easy to find (quite a feat in those lanes!), it was clean and comfortable and there were plenty of instructions on how to find everything. There were enough pots/pans to cook a meal and thank you for leaving tea coffee, dishwasher tabs and delicious cake! Very welcome after the long drive. We would love to come back sometime and maybe even hire the bigger house with the hottub as the people there looked like they were having a ball :) all in all thanks very much for a lovely stay.
We liked Goren Farm Wildflower Meadow and The Pig at Coombe and we did the little walk to Dumpdon on the Saturday evening which was very nice to be able to do something on foot from the property.
Allen  June 2021

8/10  The cottage was perfect for a family of 4, and we particularly enjoyed having our own garden area. The kids loved the games room and trampoline as well as the new swings! Recommend days out at Wildwood Escot, Pecorama, Budleigh Salterton beach and the RAM Museum in Exeter.  Wood  June 2021

10/10  We had a lovely stay at Siskins Nook, we took our two dogs who loved it too. The cottage was beautifully clean and well presented, and we had a lovely cake and flowers waiting for us on arrival. There was a birthday or hen party at one of the other cottages which was fine on the whole but did disturb our dogs one evening. However, as everyone was aware there were dogs on site, this didn’t cause a problem. Stonehayes is in a great location, nice and rural but near to supermarkets, and a dog friendly beach only 40 minutes away. We would definitely stay again. Suzie  June 2021

9/10  We love staying at Siskins Nook, it Is our second time staying and we would like to book again!  Thompson  May 2021

10/10  Welcomed on arrival, lovely flowers and homemade cake too. Spotlessly clean and a beautiful part of the countryside for walks with our dog, a trip to Sidmouth, and the kids loved the games room!   Rosie  Apri 2021

10/10  We loved that we could stay with you longer and enjoy the time away.  Truman  Jan 2021

10/10  The cottage was absolutely lovely. It didn’t take us long to get the log fire started and to tuck into the carrot cake kindly left for us by the hosts. The location is nicely remote and the surrounding areas were great for a nice walk. We made our way to the top of Dumpdon Hill nearby which has some lovely views. The facilities and the games room were a lovely addition. Would happily recommend and would live to visit again in the summer.   Stephen Nov 2020

10/10  Everything was perfect for our small family group, very pleasant host. Visit to Lyme Regis.   Young Sept 2020

10/10  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A fantastic baby/toddler friendly and well appointed property. A stunning and secluded location, perfect for a relaxing few days away.   Nick  Sept 2020

10/10   We had a great family break. The trampoline, climbing frame, and games room are great for kids, and we enjoyed walks and eating outside. The cottage was just as described and photographed, and was a good base for exploring Devon and Dorset. We’ll be back!   Paul   Aug 2020

9/10  Very homely feel. Warm Welcome. We all loved using the games room. Also enjoyed being able to have a bbq and a small fire down by the river. We would recommend Stonehayes Farm to friends and family. We enjoyed coastal walks.  Barnett  Aug 2020

9/10  Beer and Branscombe beach, Budleigh Salterton, Beer Quarry Caves.  Kids loved the games room - so pleased you kept it open     Torr July 2020

9/10  Siskins Nook was beautifully appointed, everything was provided including a small welcome pack of goodies and fresh flowers which was lovely. The living and dining area were just right and comfortable, we are used to a bigger TV but that wasn't the purpose of our stay so not an issue! Bedrooms were lovely and cosy and bathroom/shower just right. We were delighted to find that there was an enclosed garden for the cottage and parking right alongside which was perfect. We enjoyed a family barbecue and felt that it was a private space even though we knew all the cottages were full at the time of our stay. The shared area was great for the kids to play on the trampoline and on the football area, and they loved the games room too. Thanks for a wonderful stay, I am sure we will return.   Hector July 2020

We had a lovely couple days here meeting up with family. The cottage is well equipped and provided the perfect set up for us to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside - which is stunning. The place was clean and tidy and we were well looked after.   Eliot   July 2020

We had a great time at Stonehayes, and if we need to stay in the area in future, will definitely check for availability! Thanks for a lovely couple of days. What a beautiful setting for my parents to meet their new granddaughter.    Eliot  July 2020

9/10  Warm hospitality and a lovely place. Thoughtful touches like a Christmas tree, biscuits and apple juice in a welcome pack. The hosts made a great effort to meet us on arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay and a very warm welcome!   Shelley  Jan 2020

Part of a farmyard complex containing few houses all run by the same organisation. We were met and greeted and settled in by the lovely managers. There’s a small garden per house, as well as communal games room and garden with trampolines and swings. Only a short drive from Honiton, it’s in a good location too and suited our needs very well. It’s well heated and kept nicely, with helpful people on hand during the day. Two options for parking and all general needs met. Two bedrooms with double beds plus a spare folded away if needed. Nice living area and basic appliances too.
We couldn’t have asked for more from this lovely little house.

9/10   Very welcoming and friendly place and we had a lovely stay but even in December there were a lot of flies there. We visited Donkey Sanctuary. Walks around Lyme Regis.    Lawson Dec  2019

Response from Stonehayes Farm: We are so pleased you had a lovely stay at Siskins Nook over the New Year.  We are sorry to hear about the flies - unfortunately this is one of the drawbacks of living in a rural area with farms nearby.

10/10  Siskins Nook is a lovely place to stay and is ideally placed being near to so many beautiful seaside resorts and also to Dartmoor.  We really enjoyed our stay there. First Class!   Slowly Sept 2019
