10/10 It was a wonderful space for 14. Our group ranged from age 6 to 80 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. There is enough space to never feel on top of each other but also not loose each other. The downstairs bedroom and breakaway space was perfect for older family members who might want to avoid the stairs or step away and find some quiet space from all the group fun. We also made great use of the snug. The lounge is a fantastic size for everyone to get a comfy seat/sofa and the log burner and inglenook made it still feel cosy (even though this is a big room). The Kitchen and dining space was a fab space to socialise and we had wonderful time preparing and eating meals together. Hot tub and games room were the icing on the cake. 9/10 The hot tub was big and clean and lots of fun. It was a highlight for the kids and adults. Games room is a great addition. Useful additions like the outdoor hose meant we could clean our muddy boots. The house was lovely and warm thanks to the Aga. We had wonderful family Christmas, fabulous house, thank you! We visited Lyme Regis on boxing day. A lovely walk through the narrow streets surrounded by rivers, a stroll along the beach and a pint in the pub. Morton-Clark Dec 2023
9/10 We loved the location of the farm and the peaceful countryside. The hot-tub and the games room were a massive plus. I fell in love with the Aga after you kindly explained to us how it worked. I so enjoyed boiling the kettle on it for my morning cup of tea and we used the ovens for a number of meals, it really baked the pizzas & quiches well! The house was spacious enough for us all to spread out and find somewhere to relax. We were really impressed that you brought the logs down to the river and strimmed the area so that we could have a campfire and toast marshmallows on our last night, thank you! 9/10 Pippinsands was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The bedding and towels were great quality and the decor was lovely. Beds were lovely and comfortable. We loved the Aga and there were plenty of cooking and eating utensils etc. The hot tub was wonderful and so pleased that you clean it after each stay. 9/10 We loved the property and its setting, which was just perfect for a special celebration. The games room and hot tub were much enjoyed and the surroundings ideal for dog walks. 10/10 Although a very historic character farmhouse, it was lovely and light inside, and comfortably warm. Hot tub a real treat, and panoramic vistas are a delight. Philippa, her family, and team, were wonderfully friendly with a warm reception and goodbye. Very willing to help at anytime if a need arose. Visted the beaches and seafronts of Charmouth, Seaton, Branscombe, Beer, Sidmouth, Budleigh, and Exmouth. 8/10 A beautiful location, and a gorgeous house. We had a wonderful week for my mother in law's 70th birthday celebration. We took Pippinsands as well as Siskins Nook, which worked really well. It is definitely a place that suits a muliti-generational holiday. The park area, with swings and trampoline was great for the younger children, and the games room was brilliant for the teenagers. The garden space made for a wonderful Easter Egg Hunt for everyone. The flowers, coffee, tea, homemade cake and milk was a lovely touch. We would 100% return to Stonehayes Farm. 10/10 The welcome is always so special by Phil and her team which kicks the holiday off to a great start. We could not fault the cleanliness and presentation of the fabulous farmhouse. The family had not spent time all together for 8 years, Pippinsands was the perfect venue…..areas for children to play, a snug for private little chats, a gorgeous table to all sit round and eat, fabulous kitchen to share the chores (plus bbq for the men!) hot tub for relaxation and fun, along with a huge lounge to share with everyone. The house has an atmosphere of being thoroughly spoilt but in a warm,friendly,family minded way. We look forward to our next stay! Bennett Aug 2022

9/10 The house was so lovely very happy to have celebrated a special birthday there! The hot tub was fab but an open fronted changing shelter would be handy. 10/10 Easy and pleasant house for entertaining. My 11 year old particularly enjoyed the games room and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Would only request small items: steak knives and lobster utensils. Perfect location to visit across Devon. We explored Dartmoor National Park, lovely beach towns of Thurleston, Salcombe, and the lookout at Hill Head, as well as Brixham and Beer among others and of course fossil hunting at Lyme Regis and Charmouth. 10/10 We had a wonderful welcome by Phillipa who was very careful to stay strictly within the COVID safety guidelines. Great communication prior to our stay. The Welcome pack was wonderful and included homemade cake and fresh flowers.
The large Jacuzzi was wonderful and had wonderful views to enjoy whilst there!

9/10 Pippinsands is a delightful property in a lovely area. There is plenty to do on site and in the near vicinity. It is ideal for a holiday for an extended family with all age groups like ours - and the older members of the party particularly appreciated their annex accommodation! 10/10 Philippa was a lovely host, so welcoming and friendly. We had extremely hot weather during our visit so the only extra thing which would have made the experience even better would be more shade outside. Maybe the option of a gazebo or a pergola around the hot tub? We had an absolutely amazing time and made some great memories. We visited the Donkey Sanctuary, Knightshayes, Sidmouth, Durdle Door, Lyme Regis - all enjoyable and different days out. Herbert July 2019
